Lebanon Golf Courses and Parks

Located just 28 miles north of downtown Indianapolis, Lebanon serves as the ideal grounds for many golf courses and parks.   Boasting well-manicured and sloping landscapes, residents and visitors typically stop in for a day of sport and relaxation.

The Trophy Club is the most prestigious golf course in the area, with 18 holes spread over 7,245 yards of varying grounds.  The club has designed the course to meet USGA specifications with 60-yard-wide fairways and four sets of tees.  Trophy Club’s course has been named one of the Top Ten in Indiana.

Other public courses include the Cool Lake Golf Club with a par-70, 18-hole and 6,000 yard adventure.  The Fairway Golf Course is ideal for a quick afternoon jaunt on the 9-hole course at 4999 Elm Swamp Road.  Fishback Creek Golf Club also offers 9 holes for those who may only have a couple of hours to enjoy the scenery.

The Golf Club of Indiana at 6905 S. 525 E. offers a full, 18-hole course over 7,151 yards of manicured greens.  Members of the private Ulen Country Club also enjoy 18 holes over 6,019 yards.

Several parks in the area offer multiple sporting, hiking, and exploration opportunities in Lebanon‘s natural habitats.  Outdoorsmen travel to Hot Pond Park for fishing and picnic opportunities on Noble Street.  The Brookshire Arboretum is a 14-acre natural preserve which multiple forms of local wildlife and vegetation call “home”.

Local sports fanatics travel to Abner Longley Park for 50 acres of opportunity and amenities for tennis, baseball and basketball, softball, football and soccer.  Multiple trails in the area allow for hiking and fitness walking activities, and playground facilities will keep the kids active for the afternoon.  Several picnic shelters and tables are available, and the large sledding hill makes Abner Longley a popular hotspot during winter months.

The Lebanon Memorial Park, located at 130 E. Ulen Drive, offers 40 acres of grounds containing tennis courts, walking paths and basketball courts.  An onsite log cabin gives everyone an opportunity to explore unique, nature-influenced living quarters.  Shelters and tables available for special events or picnics offer a great way to enjoy a quiet family meal.  Lebanon Memorial is especially popular in summer months, when the 50-meter outdoor pool is open for business.
